Leave No Man Behind

📖Luke 15:4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?”

The Gloom will expose more than your limits.
It reveals your love.

Not just for the mission but for the man.
Not for how fast he runs or how strong he lifts…
but for the fact that he’s yours to go after.

It’s easy to focus on the front.
The fastest. The loudest. The most consistent.
But Jesus doesn’t applaud who finishes first.
He celebrates the one who goes back for the one.

The one who ghosted the group text.
The one who hasn’t posted in weeks.
The one who stopped believing anyone noticed or cared.

And maybe you’ve been that one.
Falling behind.
Feeling unseen.
Wondering if you matter.

But here’s the truth:
In the Kingdom, there is no acceptable loss.
In the brotherhood, no man gets left behind.

Discipleship isn’t about counting heads.
It’s about carrying hearts.
It’s not just leadership in motion, it’s love in pursuit.

So take inventory.
Who’s missing from your circle?
Who’s drifting from the fold?
Who’s waiting for someone to chase them down with grace?

Let it be you.

Because the 99 are safe.
But the 1 is worth the rescue.
The 1 is worth the time.
The 1 is worth the pursuit.

Because you were the 1 once, too.
And Jesus didn’t leave you behind.

Father,
Thank You that You never left me behind.
When I strayed, You searched.
When I ran, You reached.
When I resisted, You still rescued.

Make me a man of pursuit.
Not just for performance, but for people.

Don’t let me grow numb to those missing.
Don’t let me settle for 99 when one still needs a brother.

Put a name on my heart today.
A face in my memory.
And give me the boldness to reach out and not just with words, but with love.

Because that’s what You did for me.
And I want to do the same.

In name of Jesus,
Amen.
