📖 Romans 6:13

“Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.”

Paul reminds believers that our lives are no longer meant to serve sin but to be offered to God as instruments of righteousness. The word he uses carries the idea of a tool or weapon placed in the hands of another. Before Christ, our thoughts, words, and actions were often used in ways that led us further from God. But through the Gospel, we have been brought from death to life.

Because of that transformation, every part of our lives can now serve a different purpose. Our voices can speak truth and encouragement. Our hands can serve others. Our minds can pursue what is good and honorable. What once served sin can now be surrendered to God for His purposes.

This identity reminds us that redemption is not only about forgiveness but also about direction. God does not simply rescue us from the power of sin; He invites us to participate in His work of righteousness in the world.

A life surrendered to God becomes a powerful instrument in His hands.
