Rain or Shine — God Always Shows Up


Lamentations 3:22–23 (NIV)

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”

Some days we wake up fired up with hearts pumping, minds clear, feet ready to move. We feel strong, focused, and fueled with purpose. The kind of morning where the wind feels at your back and the weight feels light.

But other mornings? We’re dragging.
Physically sore. Mentally drained. Spiritually dry.
Some of us wake up battling inner shame no one sees. Others feel the fog of uncertainty, anxiety, or just exhaustion from carrying responsibilities no one claps for.
We feel like we’re starting in a hole, behind, burdened, and barely holding on.

But whether the skies are clear or stormy, one truth remains unchanged:
God always shows up.

He doesn’t wait for perfect conditions.
He doesn’t need your energy level to be high or your spiritual life to be spotless.
His mercy resets every morning, no matter how you feel when the alarm goes off.
Not recycled grace, but new.
Not conditional compassion, but constant.

Jeremiah didn’t write this in a moment of victory or on a spiritual mountaintop. He wrote it sitting in the wreckage, surrounded by pain, loss, and lament.
And in the middle of the rubble, he preached to his soul:
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end.”

That wasn’t denial but it was defiant hope.
That was a man choosing to believe that even when everything else fails, God’s faithfulness doesn’t.

And that’s our anchor, too.
Whether today feels like a downpour or a fresh sunrise, God’s mercy has already arrived. And it’s enough.


Father,

Thank You for waking me up today with breath in my lungs and mercy that’s brand new.
You didn’t have to, but You did and not because I earned it, but because You are faithful.

Whether today holds clear skies or heavy storms, joy or struggle, clarity or confusion, I know this much is true: You always show up.

When I feel strong, remind me that my strength comes from You.
When I feel weak, remind me that Your grace is enough.
When I feel unworthy, remind me that Your love is not based on my performance but on Your promise.

Give me courage to show up and lead well in my home, in my work, in my circle.
Help me move with boldness, not because I’ve got it all together, but because You go before me.
Let my presence reflect Your presence.
Let my actions preach Your faithfulness.

Rain or shine, I’m here.
I’m Yours.
And by Your strength, I will show up.
